Why it helps your building

What a kidney team in your building changes.

More admissions

Say yes to the dialysis and kidney referrals you turn away today. A kidney team in your building can take care of them.

Fewer hospital returns

Fluid buildup, high potassium and drug doses that are wrong for the kidneys get caught and treated in your building, with orders the same day.

How we are different

Kidney only. No extra work for your nurses.

  • Kidney only

Kidney nurse practitioners, with a nephrologist reviewing their work.

  • Same-day orders

Notes and orders go in your record. No extra work for your nurses.

  • Works with your rounding group

No primary care. We see only the kidney patients and work alongside your attending and dialysis nephrologist.

How it works

Three steps, from your side.

  1. Step 1. Your attending refers a resident with a consult order.

  2. Step 2. Our nurse practitioner sees the resident in your building and puts in orders the same day.

  3. Step 3. Every month you get a one-page report on the residents we follow and their hospital transfers.

Safety

Transplant and dialysis patients go to the nephrologist the same day.

Cost

$0 to your building. We bill Medicare for our own visits. For fee-for-service (traditional) Medicare residents.

Standard Medicare coinsurance applies to the resident and is usually covered by Medicaid or supplemental insurance.
